Efficiency is the idea that you can do more with less effort, less waste. What’s not to like about that? Energy Efficiency goes even further and can include benefits such as saving money, conserving fuel and emissions, more reliable equipment, better indoor air quality, and comfort. It is incredibly rewarding to be working in this sector of the energy industry, where I get to connect people with the knowledge and resources they need to improve their energy efficiency.

Rob joined the Michaels Energy team in November 2023 as a Program Manager. He is providing energy efficiency program delivery and support for utility clients and customers in Colorado.

Before his time at Michaels, Rob was a Team Lead and Product Manager at Xcel Energy, where he managed energy efficiency programs for residential and commercial & industrial utility customers across several states. Prior to his career in the energy industry, Rob was a supervisor at Vail Resorts where he focused on leading teams and delivering amazing customer service. Rob earned master’s degrees in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado at Denver and in Marketing & Management from the University of Virginia, and his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Outside of work, Rob is an avid skier and loves reading, learning, and spending time outdoors. He loves sharing these pursuits with his wife and three children.
