Pedro Guaraldi, MBA, MASc

Senior Engineer

Without the work we do at Michaels, people would be asking “Who Moved My Cheese?” wondering where their resources went. I’m passionate about energy efficiency because I believe that good things don’t last forever without effort. We must continuously adapt, change, and improve our environment so that we and future generations can keep enjoying it. This need for constant adaptation is exactly what makes the work so engaging. No project is ever the same, and I’m constantly learning something new every day. That combination of purpose and growth is what keeps me passionate about this work.

Pedro joined the Michaels team in June 2026, bringing his experience and expertise to the Engineering group. He focuses on Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx) and Energy Audit programs in New England, where he performs facility audits, identifies high-impact and cost-effective control measures, builds energy models, and provides recommendations for energy-saving measures.

Pedro holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master of Applied Science in Building Engineering from Concordia University, and a Master of Business Administration from McGill University. Prior to joining Michaels, he served as Project Director in the Sustainability department at BPA, a building design firm in Montreal, Canada, with a specialized focus on sustainability.

Outside of work, you can typically find Pedro with his wife, Kristi, playing pickleball, cooking Italian recipes, watching movies, or exploring the latest finds in the aisles of Whole Foods.
