Senior Engineer

My goal is to promote innovation, excellence, and respect for the long-term sustainability of our environment. My experience working in the energy efficiency industry in different locations in the US and the international market has given me a great deal of knowledge of how to interact with other people and express my ideas while constantly working in a team environment.

Luis joined the Michaels team in March 2025. He brings his experience and expertise to the Implementation group and is focused on the Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency CASR program in Colorado.

Luis Graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Global Energy Management. Prior to joining Michaels, he served as an energy engineer in the analytics team at LONG Building Technologies, utilizing Fault Detection and Diagnostics FDD tools. Luis also worked as a Measuring and Verification M&V Engineer for NORESCO with projects in different parts of the US, Europe and Asia.

Outside of work, you can typically find him with his wife, Bianca, exercising outdoors, snowboarding, biking, or hiking. Additionally, he’s an avid swimmer and enjoys gardening at his house. He really enjoys traveling and immerging into the local cultures.
