Kevin Cross, PE, C.E.M., LEED AP
Senior Engineer
I have been concerned about the impact our consumption of fossil fuels has on the environment since I was in elementary school. As an energy engineer, I find ways to reduce fossil fuel use one facility at a time. I believe that making energy efficiency improvements ultimately helps facilitate society’s transition from fossil fuels to non-carbon energy resources.
Kevin joined Michaels Energy in October 2023. Based in Colorado, he supports energy efficiency and electrification programs nationwide by auditing facilities and providing energy efficiency recommendations. Kevin has over a quarter of a century of experience in the energy services sector, both in developing and implementing retrofit projects.
Kevin graduated from the University of California – Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado. Kevin has also taught courses in mathematics, physics, and energy resources at the high school and college levels.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys gardening, riding his bicycle, traveling, dancing Tango and spending time on the Poudre River.
