Kelton Russenberger

Senior Engineer

Throughout my working life, I’ve been fortunate to be a part of industries that offer technical challenges and a true sense of accomplishment. Early in my career, I realized that both of these elements were essential to my overall satisfaction with the work I was doing. When presented with an opportunity to work in the energy field, I didn’t hesitate. Working as an engineer in energy efficiency has not only provided me with the previous personal and professional goals, but also the feeling of contributing to something that benefits everyone.

Kelton is a Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer who joined Michaels Energy in April of 2025. Previously, he worked as a federal contractor for the General Services Administration, where he performed ongoing commissioning to help the GSA reduce energy usage. Prior to that role, Kelton worked at Siemens as a Building Automation Specialist and at Trane as a Mechanical Field Technician.

He graduated from James Madison University in 2010 with a BS degree in Geographic Science, where he studied environmental science and geographic information systems.

Most of Kelton’s free time is spent rock climbing with his partner, Kristin. He also loves raising his two daughters, Manali and Megha. In addition to those interests, he enjoys backcountry snowboarding, kayaking, gardening, and cooking.
