Engineer

I took AP Environmental Science on a whim in high school, and it sparked a lifelong interest in the environment alongside a fascination with how complex systems work. That curiosity shaped the electives I chose in college and fueled my interest in emerging HVAC technologies. All of it ultimately led me to energy engineering, where I get to design better systems and help buildings become cleaner, smarter, and more efficient.

Emily joined the Michaels team in June 2026. She brings experience in HVAC design work to the engineering team and is focused on New England programs like Mass Save and New Hampshire Existing Building Commission. This entails performing building audits, assessing the existing building processes, and providing either controls-based recommendations or capital measures to electrify and decarbonize buildings.

Emily graduated from Florida State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining Michaels, she was a mechanical designer at IMEG, a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing consulting firm, where she designed new HVAC systems.

When she isn’t working, Emily enjoys going on long walks, preferably when there is an iced coffee at the end of it or reading long fantasy books.
