Chris Kucewicz
Program Analyst
Efficiency and care for our environment have always been part of how I live- whether planning out my week to make the most of my time, or biking instead of driving. So, when I found Michaels, it just made sense. This is my first role in the energy efficiency industry, and I’m excited to dive in, learn, and grow. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in a role that aligns with my values and strengths, and where the work I do contributes to a healthier, more livable world for everyone.
Chris joined Michaels in October 2025 as a Program Analyst, bringing a unique blend of experience in education, data analytics, and a commitment to sustainability. In his role, he supports energy efficiency programs through data-driven insights and thoughtful analysis.
Before joining Michaels, Chris’s path was shaped by a strong desire to make the world a better place. After earning a B.S. in Mathematics, he pursued a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) and a teaching certification, spending four years as a high school math teacher. Seeking a new challenge, he transitioned into data analytics by completing a Data Science bootcamp, which led to a 12-month applied data fellowship with the University of Chicago. There, he worked with Cook County Government to apply data analysis to public sector projects.
When he’s not crunching numbers, Chris enjoys spending time along Lake Michigan, reading, and cheering on the Cubs. He’s also known for biking around Chicago in search of the city’s best dessert spots (his sweet tooth is, admittedly, his kryptonite).
