Brendan Arce

Associate Engineer

I have a great appreciation for the natural world, aspiring to find innovative solutions for our current and ever-growing energy demands to achieve a more environmentally sustainable way of life!

Brendan joined the Michaels team in October of 2023. He is on the Chicago team and is focused on providing field support and building energy analysis for the team’s clients. This includes gathering building information through visual inspection, customer communication, and measuring & data logging.

Brendan graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Before Michaels, Brendan participated in multiple internships and organizations during his time at UIUC. This included being the Mechanical and Plumbing Team lead for the Illinois Solar Decathlon Design Team as well as the Photovoltaic and Electrical Team lead for the Build Team. In addition, Brendan was an SEM Program Intern and SEM Data Intern at CLEAResult.

During his free time, Brendan likes to spend his time with family and friends. He finds a lot of joy in being around nature, whether it’s taking a walk, driving around, or riding a bike. He also likes to take care of his fish tanks and the various plants he has (Including a pineapple he planted from the grocery store).
