Kamila Castillo

Associate Engineer

I spent a lot of time outside as a child which made me appreciate nature’s beauty and want to help preserve the Earth’s resources. Growing up I wanted to make sure my career would positively impact communities. Energy is essential for our society and by focusing on being efficient now, we can help future generations live in a cleaner, healthier environment. I am driven to push clean energy forward and work with like-minded people!

Kamila joined Michaels in August 2026 where she will be training in the La Crosse office. She will then be working in Iowa, supporting Alliant Energy projects. Kamila graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. Before Michaels, she worked on onshore wind projects as an Application Engineer Intern. Her past work experience solidified that Kamila wanted to work on energy efficiency and help customers become more sustainable.

During her free time, Kamila enjoys going to concerts, thrifting, and spending time with family. To relax, Kamila does coloring books and takes long walks.
