Kyle Simpson

Associate Engineer

In college, all the energy-intensive courses like Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer really piqued my interest and drove me to pursue an energy career. And in the effort to be a better engineer and learner, efficiency has always been at the forefront. So, I’m blessed and thankful for the opportunity to be in a role where energy efficiency is emphasized for the good of the client. 

Kyle joined the Michaels Energy team in May of 2026. He joins the Engineering team in Richmond, Virginia and is focused on providing support for multiple building energy analysis programs in the Virginia area. 

Kyle graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Before joining Michaels, he served as a Mechanical Design Engineer for Allied Air Enterprises in Columbia, South Carolina, where he designed residential HVAC systems.  

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys working out, cooking, collecting records, and spending quality time with his family and loved ones.
